NATIONAL CONSTITUTION CENTER PRESENTS THE HONORABLE ANTHONY M. KENNEDY WITH THE 31ST ANNUAL LIBERTY MEDAL
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch to present the medal and National Constitution Center actors to perform a monologue from FOURTEEN: A Theatrical Performance
Philadelphia, PA (October 27, 2019) – Tonight at 5 p.m., Sunday, October 27, the National Constitution Center will present the 2019 Liberty Medal to the Honorable Anthony M. Kennedy, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, for his efforts to preserve, protect, and defend liberty by inspiring Americans of all ages to learn about the Constitution through civic education and civil dialogue. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, Honorary Chair of the Center’s Board of Trustees, will bestow the annual Liberty Medal award to Justice Kennedy. National Constitution Center actors to perform a monologue from FOURTEEN: A Theatrical Performance, which is currently running at the National Constitution Center in conjunction with the newest exhibit Civil War & Reconstruction: The Battle for Freedom and Equality.
The Liberty Medal Ceremony will be hosted by National Constitution Center President and CEO Jeffrey Rosen with pre-show remarks by Executive Vice President and COO Vince Stango. Justice Gorsuch will present Justice Kennedy with the 2019 Liberty Medal and provide remarks. The ceremony will conclude with remarks from Justice Kennedy.
