The 1787 Society, named for the year the Constitutional Convention proposed the U.S. Constitution, brings together some of the National Constitution Center’s most committed supporters who help advance our mission to educate learners of all ages about the Constitution and foster thoughtful, civil dialogue.

By joining the 1787 Society, donors not only enjoy exclusive benefits such as VIP invitations to special programs and events, including quarterly interactive seminars on primary texts and key Supreme Court decisions led by President and CEO Jeffrey Rosen, special recognition opportunities, and personal communications from Jeffrey Rosen, but also play a vital role in sustaining the Center’s work to inspire informed and engaged citizenship.

For those seeking a deeper connection and greater impact, the President’s Council offers an exclusive opportunity to help advance the Center’s mission at the highest level. This community of philanthropic leaders plays a vital role in driving transformative change, expanding the Center’s impact nationwide by supporting innovative educational programs in schools and districts, fostering partnerships with civic and educational leaders, and shaping the future of constitutional understanding and civil dialogue across the country.

Members of the President’s Council make generous annual gifts starting at $10,000 and often multi-year commitments that underwrite key initiatives and help sustain the Center’s essential work. President’s Council members enjoy access to exclusive events and engagement opportunities, such as our signature President’s Council Retreat, which brings together prominent constitutional scholars, jurists, and business leaders for in-depth discussions on the state of constitutional law, civil society, and civic education.
