Vince Stango

Interim President and CEO

Vince Stango is the Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Constitution Center, where he is leading the institution through a defining moment for both the Center and the nation. A trusted partner to the Board of Trustees, he is responsible for advancing the Center’s vision, strengthening its national role in constitutional education and civil dialogue, and ensuring strong financial and operational performance.

Vince oversees the Center’s strategy, fundraising, operations, and governance, leading a 100+ person organization and serving as a public voice for the institution in national and regional media. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience at the Center, where he has played a central role in shaping its growth, strategic direction, and national profile.

He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2013 to 2026, leading organizational strategy, financial performance, and operations at scale, and was earlier appointed Interim President and CEO from 2012 to 2013. Known for building high-performing teams and translating mission into execution, he brings a proven track record across fundraising, strategic planning, visitor experience, and nonprofit management.

Deeply committed to civic education and the strength of the nation’s civic infrastructure, Vince is a leading voice in advancing the role of civic institutions in American public life.

He also contributes to the broader field as a lecturer and advisor on museum governance and fundraising. He serves as a Trustee of the National Constitution Center, reflecting the Board’s longstanding confidence in his leadership, as well as a member of the advisory council of Villanova University’s Albert Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest.

At the local level, he is active in Philadelphia’s semiquincentennial efforts, co-chairing the Philadelphia Historic District’s 250th Committee, and was named to Philadelphia’s 2025 Power List in recognition of his leadership and support for the city’s 250th commemoration.

He holds master’s degrees in public administration and human resource development from Villanova University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Moravian University, grounding his leadership in both organizational excellence and a deep understanding of the American story.
