Christina Chagin

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Deputy COO

Christina Chagin is the vice president of strategic initiatives and deputy COO, serving as a member of the senior leadership team. Chagin’s portfolio of work is anchored by board governance, project management, and high-profile event management. She supports the president and CEO and executive vice president and COO in several critical areas with the goals of maximizing team productivity, facilitating stronger and more transparent communication, and ensuring alignment of daily activities with strategic priorities. Her responsibilities include cultivating and maintaining a wide variety of external relationships; day-to-day facilitation of programs and projects with colleagues and staff; and project management of strategic initiatives. Christina leads and facilitates a variety of institutional programs including the Liberty Medal, President’s Council Retreat, and other signature NCC events. In addition, she plays an integral role in managing the work of the board of trustees and its various committees. 

Christina Chagin began her work at the National Constitution Center in 2007 as the director of individual and major gifts, where she directed all aspects of fundraising for the Center’s individual giving societies. Additional roles that she has held at the National Constitution Center include, director of board relations and director of executive relations. 

Prior to joining the National Constitution Center, Christina Chagin worked in the office of civic leader Wayne Spilove from 2004 to 2007, and was his liaison to the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and Historic Philadelphia, Inc., while Spilove was chairman of both organizations. Chagin also previously worked as deputy director of finance for then-U.S. Senate candidate Joseph M. Torsella. 

Christina Chagin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in law and society from American University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated with honors. Chagin also studied at American University’s campus in Rome, Italy.

She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and four sons.
