Gregg Sherrill

Gregg Sherrill was chairman and CEO of Tenneco from 2007 to 2017. Before joining Tenneco in January 2007, he was with Johnson Controls, a leading automotive supplier. There, he served most recently as president of the Power Solutions group, the company’s global automotive battery business. Before that, he was group vice president; managing director of Europe, South Africa, and South America for the automotive systems group; and vice president and general manager for the company’s North American automotive operations. Before Johnson Controls, Mr. Sherrill served in a broad range of engineering and manufacturing positions with Ford Motor Company for 22 years. He serves on the boards of directors of Snap-on and the Allstate Corporation. He also serves on the board of the Atlantic Council and is past chairman of the National Association of Manufacturers.
