The National Constitution Center and With Honor Action host a discussion exploring the state of Congress with members of the For Country Caucus, a bipartisan group of military veterans serving in Congress and dedicated to working together in a nonpartisan way to create a more productive government. Representatives Jared Golden of Maine, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, Peter Meijer of Michigan, and Mariannette Jane Miller-Meeks of Iowa, provide insight on the reforms necessary to end political gridlock, promote bipartisanship, and ultimately strengthen one of America’s most important institutions. Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, moderates.

Participants
Congressman Jared Golden represents the Second District of Maine in the United States House of Representatives, where he serves on the Small Business Committee and the Armed Services Committee. He is a member of several caucuses, including the For Country Caucus where he serves as its co-chair.
Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan is the first woman ever to represent Pennsylvania's 6th District in Congress, where she currently serves. In the House, she serves on House Armed Services Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Small Business Committee. She co-founded two bipartisan caucuses: The Servicewomen and Women Veterans Caucus and the For Country Caucus.
Congressman Peter Meijer represents the Third District of Michigan in the United States House of Representatives. He serves on the Committee on Homeland Security as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight, Management, & Accountability, Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Space Science & Technology Committee. He is also a member of the bipartisan Problem Solvers’ Caucus and For Country Caucus.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks represents the Second District of Iowa in the United States House of Representatives. She serves on several committees and caucuses, including the Education and Labor Committee, Homeland Security Committee, Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, and the For Country Caucus.
Jeffrey Rosen is the president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization devoted to educating the public about the U.S. Constitution. Rosen is also professor of law at The George Washington University Law School and a contributing editor of The Atlantic.
