What is Civic Quest?
Civic Quest is a play-based family learning experience that brings American history to life through hands-on missions of intrigue and discovery. Designed for kids ages 7–12 (with adult support), players decode the past, meet compelling historical characters, and solve clues uncovering the big ideas and everyday people that shaped a nation.
As families play, they practice the same civic skills used by early Americans: listening to different perspectives, asking questions, and working together to solve problems. Each mission includes guided reflection on how that moment shaped history, helping players connect past choices to the present.
In the first Civic Quest box, players step into the debates and decisions that shaped the American Revolution. This opening chapter of our story launches a larger Civic Quest series, with each box exploring a different moment in U.S. history and inviting families to discover how those choices—and our own today—are all part of the American story.
