Presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton named Tim Kaine as her running mate on Friday night and she will make an appearance with the Virginia Senator on Saturday.
Kaine had been a rumored vice presidential contender in 2008 when Barack Obama was the Democratic nominee. Kaine, 58, is a former Virginia governor and chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
Virginia is also a key swing state in the 2016 presidential election. So far, Clinton holds a narrow polling lead over Donald Trump there.
