Lana Ulrich

Vice President of Content and Senior Counsel

Lana Ulrich is the vice president of content and senior counsel at the National Constitution Center, where she manages the Center’s constitutional content and programming initiatives. As the Center’s senior counsel, she assists with any legal matters relating to the National Constitution Center’s operations, including contracts and intellectual property matters. She also launched and directed the Center’s former Continuing Legal Education program.

As the Center’s vice president of content, Lana Ulrich manages the content and production of the We the People and Live at the National Constitution Center podcasts, on-site and traveling Town Hall debates, and museum exhibits, as well as online content such as the Interactive Constitution and the Constitution Daily blog. She moderates America’s Town Hall programs and podcasts, and has appeared on other podcasts and radio shows including Civics 101 to discuss constitutional issues. She also oversees the work of the Center’s key strategic projects and initiatives, including the bipartisan national commission, A Madisonian Constitution for All; Women and the Constitution; the Restoring the Guardrails of Democracy initiative; and the Constitution Drafting Project.

Prior to joining the Center, she worked as a legal fellow for the United Nations Association, another nonprofit organization in Philadelphia. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Legal Adviser, where she assisted in representing the United States in international litigation and at the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal in The Hague. She also worked for a labor and employment law firm in Washington, D.C.

Lana Ulrich is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where she was a Thurgood Marshall scholar. She also studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England through the GW-Oxford program, receiving a certificate in International Human Rights Law. She received her bachelor’s degree with honors from The Pennsylvania State University.

She is admitted in New York and Pennsylvania (in-house corporate counsel).
