Membership FAQs

Why is the membership program changing?

The new donor program is designed to improve the supporter experience and grow our community at the NCC, while streamlining our administrative operations. We’ve taken our members’ feedback into account and introduced a giving program that better reflects what our supporters value most. Our supporters will still receive invitations to special programs, tours, and events, like in-person America’s Town Hall programs, and be the first to hear about Center news and updates through the monthly e-newsletter from Center President and CEO Jeffrey Rosen.

When did the changes to the membership program go into effect?

We stopped offering new memberships and processing renewals of existing memberships on January 1, 2025. All current members were notified via mail and email.

If I was a member prior to January 1, 2025, have my existing membership benefits changed?

All current memberships with an expiration date on or before December 31, 2025, are subject to these member benefits.

If I give a gift to the NCC on January 1, 2025, or later will it be applied to a membership renewal?

No, gifts dated January 1, 2025, or later will be considered fully tax-deductible individual donations, not membership renewals as we are no longer offering memberships.

Can I still use my old member card when I visit the Center?

Yes, your card will remain valid until the date your annual membership is scheduled to expire (i.e. active memberships with an expiration date of December 31, 2025, or earlier).

Can I still get free admission to the museum?

We value your gift to us and welcome you to visit us throughout the year. Contact the Development team, [email protected], to discuss access to complimentary tickets.

Can I still get discounts on parking and in the Museum Store and Delegates’ Café?

No, we will no longer be offering these discounts. If you require any accessibility assistance, please notify the National Constitution Center of any special needs you or a member of your group may have at 215.409.6700 or [email protected].

I was a National Patriot, Constitution Founder, or Constitution Guardian member previously. Will I still receive NARM reciprocal benefits?

No, NARM requires that participating museums have an active traditional membership program.

I was a Constitution Guardian member previously. If I give $500 annually going forward, will I still receive recognition of my support in the Center’s Annual Report?

Yes, individual gifts of $500 or more annually will receive recognition of your support in the Center’s Annual Report (unless you request to remain anonymous).

Can I still give a membership to the National Constitution Center as a gift?

While you won’t be able to give a gift of membership, you can certainly make a donation in someone else’s name, and we would be happy to let the recipient you honored know.
