Derrick A. Roman

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Derrick Roman is a retired partner of the international accounting and consulting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC). During his 35-year career with PwC, Mr. Roman delivered external audit, advisory, and risk assurance services to multi-national public, privately held, and nonprofit concerns. He served as PwC Detroit Partner Champion for its diversity & inclusion and for its corporate responsibility programs. He was recognized by Money Magazine as a hero for championing financial education for young people. He served on the transition teams for the Detroit Public Schools, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Treasurer, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Auditor General.

Mr. Roman is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Michigan CPA associations, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the NABA, for which he serves as a Corporate Advisory Board member. He is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the National Constitution Center and the former Chairman of the Philadelphia Police Athletic League. He also chairs the Trustee Board of the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit and serves on the Advisory Board of the Hampton University School of Business. Mr. Roman serves on the Board of Directors of CommScope Holding Company, Inc.
