Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

This session focuses on the three central principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Jeffrey Rosen, the President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, will dive into the reasons the framers included these principles in the Declaration of Independence and how these ideas have manifested in constitutional interpretations over time. Ryan Werenka, a member of the Center's Teacher Advisory Council, will share resources considering the themes of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for classroom use.
