Presidential historian Michael Beschloss discusses his new book, Presidents of War, exploring presidential war powers and stories of presidents during wartime, from President James Madison and the War of 1812 to recent presidents today. Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, moderates.

- Michael Beschloss is an award-winning presidential historian and author of nine books, including the bestsellers Presidents of War: The Epic Story, from 1807 to Modern Times; Presidential Courage and The Conquerors; and two volumes on Lyndon Johnson’s White House tapes. He was also editor of the number-one global bestseller Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy. He is the NBC News Presidential Historian, a PBS NewsHour contributor, and has received an Emmy along with six honorary degrees.
- Jeffrey Rosen is the president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization devoted to educating the public about the U.S. Constitution. Rosen is also professor of law at The George Washington University Law School and a contributing editor of The Atlantic.
