Join National Constitution Center Trustee and University of Pennsylvania Professor Richard Beeman as he unveils his newest book, Our Lives, Our Fortunes and Our Sacred Honor: The Forging of American Independence, 17741776. Dr. Beeman will illuminate how America transformed from a colony into a republic and how Americans turned from subjects into citizens through a combination of political maneuvering, intellectual brilliance, and revolutionary documents including the Declaration of Independence. The conversation will be moderated by law professor and distinguished legal commentator Jeffrey Rosen, who was recently appointed as the Center’s president and CEO.
