Resolved: The Second Amendment Protects the Individual’s Right to Own and Carry a Gun

Participants will debate whether or not the Supreme Court got it right when it ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to own a handgun. Professor Michael O’Shea of the Oklahoma City University School of Law will argue in favor of the resolution. Professor Carl T. Bogus of the Roger Williams University School of Law will argue against the resolution. Jeffrey Rosen, President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, will moderate.
