Presidents Day Weekend

Admission is FREE on Presidents Day, February 20, 2017, courtesy by TD Bank, through the TD Charitable Foundation.  

This President’s Day Weekend visitors to the museum will learn about the role of the president and what it takes to be commander-in-chief. At craft activity tables, children can create presidential masks, design their own presidential seals, and more. Guests also are invited to join in a special Presidential Tour of the Museum’s main exhibition. During Presidential Trivia, participants will race against the clock to answer questions about presidential elections, inaugurations, and even pets! On Presidents Day Monday, families can also participate in our Presidential Costume Contest and join us for a Kids Town Hall, and get to meet some very special guests: Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt!
And don’t forget: February is also African American History Month!  The museum is offering special programs all month long!

Special Programs for Presidents Day Monday

Presidential Costume Contest
9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Registration in Main Lobby
This Presidents Day, come to the National Constitution Center dressed like your favorite President or First Lady and enter our Presidential Costume Contest!  Kids ages 12 and under are eligible to participate. The most original costume, as judged by a panel of presidential reenactors, will be awarded a family membership, valued at $95.  Winners will be selected during our noon Kids Town Hall program.

Kids Town Hall: Meet the Presidents

Join us for a special Kid’s Town Hall with some very famous guests – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.

All Weekend Long: Presidential Programing

Constitution 101: The Presidency and Article II
9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Main Lobby
At this interactive show, visitors will learn the ins and outs of the executive branch of government as they try on all the different hats the president wears!

Hail to the Chief Quiz Game
9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Main Exhibition, Domestic Tranquility
Visitors can learn about the role of the president and the history of the executive branch during the Hail to the Chief Quiz Game.  Participants will race against the clock to answer questions from a variety of categories, including “Before They Were President,” “Elections and Inaugurations,” and “Presidential Pets.”
