Join elected officials, Washington insiders, and volunteer leaders for an afternoon of conversation about public service, including:

  • How to remove barriers to participation in elective politics
  • How to create new avenues for public service
  • How the polarization of politics is discouraging young people from engaging in the civic conversation

Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell will join discussions on public service with Senator Olympia Snowe, Senator Trent Lott, Secretary Dan Glickman, Secretary Margaret Spellings, John Bridgeland, Susan Eisenhower, Reverend Floyd Flake, Mark Gearan, Governor Jennifer Granholm, Antonia Hernández, Karen Hughes, Victoria Kennedy, Chris Marvin, and Diane Tomb among others.

This program is presented in partnership with the Bipartisan Policy Center and is part of the Commission on Political Reform’s series National Conversations on American Unity. BPC is pleased to partner with USA TODAY for the town hall series.
