On Wednesday night, the National Constitution Center and the PBS broadcast Intelligence Squared held a special live video debate about the President’s power to kill Americans abroad, featuring Alan Dershowitz, Noah Feldman, Michael W. Lewis, and Hina Shamsi. You can watch the video replay here.
Described by the New York Times as the “equivalent of a pro-wrestling smackdown,” the award-winning NPR show and PBS broadcast Intelligence Squared U.S. came to the National Constitution Center for an exciting and lively debate.
Based on the traditional Oxford-style debate format, the audience voted before and after the arguments.
The question? Does the President have the power to target and kill Americans abroad? ABC News correspondent John Donvan moderated the debate, which lasted for about 90 minutes.
