The students have been given camera equipment and extensive basic media training in order to make short pieces of visual content documenting the people and events that tell the story of civic engagement in their countries. Latvian student Toms Dzenis makes his first audio slideshow chronicling the story of one man’s experience during the Third Awakening movement that led to the restoration of Latvia's independence in the "Singing Revolution" of 1987–1991.
