The National Constitution Center in Historic Philadelphia is America's most interactive history museum. Located just two blocks from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, it is the only museum devoted to the U.S. Constitution and the story of We, the People.

Museum Hours

The National Constitution Center welcomes visitors seven days a week (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). Groups will be admitted as early as 9:15 a.m.

Weekdays 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Advance Ticket Sales

Purchase tickets through the National Constitution Center’s Call Center at 215-409-6700 Monday through Sunday during the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Please note that the museum opens at 12:00 p.m. on Sundays. You may also purchase tickets online.

Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your reservation and visit the "Will Call" desk to pick up your tickets.

Pre-Summer Special Only $15!

Starting now until June 30, Sunday-Wednesday visitors pay just $15 (a $9.50 savings) for the entire museum experience, including From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen. This “beat the summer rush” special includes adults, seniors, students and children 4 to 12. Audio Tours

A former president, famous authors, and voices from history give you special insight into the history and relevance of the U.S. Constitution. A self-guided audio tour is an excellent way to enhance your visit to the Center.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available for purchase at the National Constitution Center Box Office or by calling 215-409-6700. Certificates are the same price as admission. Certificates expire one year after purchase and are only valid for general admission. You may also purchase gift certificates for traveling exhibitions. Traveling exhibition gift certificates expire on the last day of the exhibition.

Museum Store

The National Constitution Center Museum Store is open to visitors during regular museum hours. An extensive choice of merchandise is offered. We also have a special gift shop for younger visitors featuring fun, affordable items, located on the ground floor, adjacent to the student lunchroom. Convenient parking can be found at the easily accessible lots at the National Constitution Center, located on Race Street between 5th and 6th Streets, and the Independence Visitor Center.

Driving

From the South: Take I-95 North to Exit 22 for "Central Phila/I-676". Follow signs for Phila/Independence Hall/Callowhill Street. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Stay straight on Callowhill St. and turn left onto 8th Street. Take 8th Street to Race Street and turn left. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the parking garage at the National Constitution Center.

From the North: Take I-95 South to Exit 22 for "Central Phila/I-676". Follow signs for Phila/Independence Hall/Callowhill Street and make a right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. Stay straight on Callowhill St. and turn left onto 8th Street. Take 8th Street to Race Street and turn left. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the parking garage at the National Constitution Center.

From the West: Take I-76 (PA Turnpike) to Exit 326 for "Valley Forge". Follow signs for Philadelphia I-76 East. Remain on I-76 East for about 25 miles until you see signs for Exit 344 "Central Phila" and take 676 East to the 8th Street exit. Make a right onto 8th Street and then a left onto Race Street. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the parking garage at the National Constitution Center.

From the East: Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 4. Take Rt. 73 North to Rt. 38 West to US 30 and continue on US 30 West over the Ben Franklin Bridge (Rt. 676), crossing into Philadelphia. Stay in the left lane and go straight through the light following the sign for "8th Street South/Chinatown". Take a left onto 8th Street, and another left onto Race Street. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the parking garage at the National Constitution Center. Public Transportation

SEPTA - Mass transit options, including subway, trolley, and bus service throughout the city and the surrounding area, are offered through SEPTA. The Market-Frankford subway line stops one block from the Center at 5th and Market Streets. Bus routes 38, 44, and 48 stop nearby.
