Decoding the Lyrics Activity

This interactive program within the From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to delve further into the meaning behind some of Springsteen’s famous songs. Using historical context and music videos, visitors will examine songs line by line in order to decipher the meaning of Springsteen’s lyrics in hits such as “Streets of Philadelphia,” “Born in the U.S.A.,” and “American Skin.”
