Camp Structure

Come to historic Philadelphia and have the adventure of the summer at the National Constitution Center's American campmilitarymuster.JPGAdventure Camp!  The camp is designed to keep kids active in both mind and body all summer long.  Our days are filled with activities and adventures that will help your child grow as an active citizen and a happy camper.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Town Hall Meetings are held daily to wake up the campers’ brains and bodies for the fun and excitement of the day ahead. Meetings will let all campers know the goals of the day and any special events.

Morning Explorations are fun-filled activities led by the Center’s experts and guest speakers, who will engage campers in dynamic, interactive programs about the session’s topic.

Museum Investigations give campers a chance to explore the Center’s exhibits for projects and special programs designed just for American Adventure Camp hosted by special guests and the Center's education staff.

Mini and Major Activities are short and long activities that are related to the session theme. All activities are age appropriate, interactive and fun and explore history as well as the arts, science, law, and geography.

Field Trips will be taken multiple times throughout each session to explore the rich history and environment of historic Philadelphia and its surroundings. (Parents will be notified prior to all field trips.)

Group Games and Outdoor Quests will give campers the opportunity to enjoy the fun and excitement of summer in a safe and clean environment. Games  help promote the experience of the session, and quests will use session themes to explore our neighboring facility, Franklin Square, and its newly renovated playground.
