Join the National Constitution Center’s staff for an educator’s workshop, inspired by the Center’s Living News program. This one day workshop will provide innovative ways of connecting students to the Constitution through current events and original source materials. By exploring theatre techniques such as writing, improvisation, and storytelling, educators can breathe new life in civic education and controversial, current topics. Educators of all subjects and grade levels are invited to share ideas and collaborate on how to apply these new approaches to teaching in their own classrooms. Middle and High School Teachers (grades 7-12) of social studies, history, and civics are strongly encouraged to attend. No experience with theatre or drama in the classroom is necessary.
Please Note: Living News workshops are also available to travel to your classrooms, please contact Nora Berger-Green for
availability and eligibility.
This workshop experience qualifies you for an ACT 48 credit, but space is limited.
