President Roosevelt had a Scottish terrier named Fala. He accompanied Roosevelt everywhere and even slept on the edge of the president’s bed. Fala was so popular with the people that he soon became an unofficial mascot for the nation. During World War II, companies started producing pins with Fala’s image on them. Wearing these pins was a way for citizens to show their patriotism and support for the president during wartime. Decorate your own Fala pin and wear it proudly to show your support for the country!
