Maura Jones is a fifteen year old freshman, at Roosevelt Junior High School in Altoona, PA. She was chosen to attend the Peter Jennings Project at the National Constitution Center by her newspaper advisor, Mrs. Wanda Pletcher.

Maura is currently the Editor-In-Chief of the Blue & White, the award winning, student newspaper at RJHS. Among the many awards the Blue & White has received over the years is the prestigious gold crown award given by Columbia University. As a ninth grade honors student, Maura is enthusiastic about her high school activities. Her interests include journalism, oil painting, basketball, track, and community volunteer work.
