Akhil Reed Amar is the Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University, where he teaches constitution law at Yale College and Yale Law School. Amar joined the Yale faculty after clerking for Judge Stephen Breyer, U.S. Court of Appeals, 1st Circuit. Amar is co-editor of a leading constitutional law casebook, Processes of Constitution Dicisionmaking, and is the author of several books, most recently American’s Constitution: A Biography. He is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, where he served as an editor of the law journal.
