Imtiaz ali

Imtiaz Ali is a Jennings Randolph Fellow at the United State Institute for Peace. A Pashtun journalist, he specializes in Pakistan’s volatile tribal belt and North–West Frontier Province along the Afghan border. Recently, he has been working with Ambassador Richard Holbrooke’s team on issues of strategic communications in Pakistan. Imtiaz joined the BBC Pashto Service in 2001 and reported extensively on the rise of the "Pakistani Taliban" and Pakistan’s military operations against al-Qaeda and the Taliban supporters.
