Narrated by a live actor, Freedom Rising is a 360-degree theatrical production that vividly illuminates the story of the U.S. Constitution. Audience members are transported on a whirlwind journey through more than 200 years of constitutional history—from the American Revolution to the Civil War, the Civil Rights movement, and other key historic milestones. Visitors come away inspired by the American quest for freedom.
Freedom Rising has been performed at the White House, the Gerald R. Ford Museum, Civic Fest, and many conferences and colleges across the country. It features a rotating cast of actors who are renowned both regionally and nationally.
Visitors please note: To accommodate the renovation of the Sidney Kimmel Theater, the National Constitution Center will suspend Freedom Rising performances from approximately January 19 through February 9, 2016 and April 14 through June 12, 2016.
