Lost Heroes Art Quilt
October 27 – November 12, 2009
A 5 ½ -foot by 15-foot contemporary art tribute to the courageous men and women who have given their lives in service to our nation in Iraq and Afghanistan, “The Lost Heroes Art Quilt” was created by artist Julie Feingold as a non-political work. The Quilt will be on display in the Center’s Grand Hall Lobby through Veteran’s Day. It features 82 fallen soldiers – 50 in the central quilt representing each state in the U.S. and 32 around the border. A photograph and description of each hero’s personality, dreams, plans, interests, and hopes appear around the Quilt, permanently memorializing each life.
Admission for Lost Heroes Art Quilt is included with purchase of general admission to the Center.
