Traveling History & Civics Program

Thanks to the generous support of the Christian R. & Mary F. Lindback Foundation, the Thomas Skelton Harrison Foundation, and PNC, the National Constitution Center is pleased to announce a FREE opportunity to excite and educate your students using the Center’s innovative resources in your classroom. The Christian R. & Mary F. Lindback Foundation, the Thomas Skelton Harrison Foundation, and PNC have provided funding to offer the National Constitution Center’s Traveling History & Civics program for FREE to Philadelphia public school students in grades K-12.

We’re taking our shows on the road and visiting your school! Experience the National Constitution Center’s innovative style of interactivity and civic engagement in your own classroom or school auditorium. Using historic artifacts, costumes, and engaging activities, our experienced and knowledgeable demonstrators bring history and civics to life. The Traveling History and Civics Program teaches students about our nation’s past and encourages them to stand up and take action to secure their future.

PROGRAM TIMES
Outreach programs are now available daily, all year long.  Please call two weeks in advance for best booking dates.

PROGRAM COSTS
Fees are for presentations on the same day at the same location.  Additional fees for mileage and lodging may apply for locations outside of Philadelphia.  We will do our best to meet your needs and book programs in conjunction with other local schools and community centers.  Our programs are also popular with adult groups and home school groups.

• $250 for one 45-minute presentation
  (includes pre- and post-visit materials and hand-outs)
• $150 for each additional presentation of the same show
• $200 for each additional show on a different topic
• $200 for a one-hour classroom workshop

Additional Fees:
Early morning fee: $75 for shows beginning before 9 a.m.
Split day fee: $75 for one morning and one afternoon

Travel fees are associated with all formats outside of Philadelphia; rates vary by county.

STEP 4: Receive a confirmation packet, approximately 2 weeks after the Center receives your information. The packet includes detailed information about your show.
