Experience the National Constitution Center’s innovative, interactive civic education programs at your school with the Traveling History & Civics Program. Using historical artifacts, costumes, and engaging activities, our expert education staff will bring American history, government, and civics to life.
In the Breaking Barriers Show, students embark on an interactive history adventure as they learn about the lives and legacies of African Americans who broke the color barrier in education, government, entertainment, and other fields. Through storytelling and costumes, extraordinary citizens such as Thurgood Marshall, Bessie Coleman, and Jackie Robinson come to life and inspire future generations.
