The ’60s and the Space Race (FINAL WEEKEND OF THE 1968 EXHIBIT)
The National Constitution Center will send off The 1968 Exhibit with a weekend that explores the same out-of-this-world topic that concludes the exhibition itself: space exploration! The tumultuous year ended on a hopeful note when Americans had the opportunity—for the first time ever—to see images of Earth taken from space by the Apollo 8 spacecraft. Visitors can take special tours of The 1968 Exhibit, participate in the interactive Space and the Sixties quiz game, and create arts and crafts, like crepe paper American flags and model space capsules.
