This Memorial Day weekend, the National Constitution Center will celebrate the people and events of our nation’s past.
The American flag will be raised each morning during a special ceremony at the Center. Guests are invited to join in this event to learn proper flag raising protocol.
During the special program “Memorials: How a Nation Remembers” at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m., visitors will learn about monuments across the country, including Little Bighorn, the U.S.S. Arizona, and the Lincoln Memorial.
As the home of Pennsylvania’s Liberty Tree, the Center will honor its “birthday” with the compelling story of this living memorial at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., visitors can sing their favorite American anthems during “Patriotic Karaoke,” and create memorial poppy pins, American flags, and American star memorial wreathes at activity tables.
