Lynne Cheney, New York Times bestselling author and former second lady of the United States, returns to the National Constitution Center to unveil her long-anticipated new biography on James Madison. A brilliant thinker and tactician, Madison co-founded the Democratic-Republican party and advocated for judicial restraint and limited government—yet only a few biographies exist compared to his contemporaries. Cheney’s exhaustively researched work will reacquaint readers with the principal author of the Bill of Rights and the fourth president of the United States, covering his career and his relationships. Chris Stigall of Talk Radio 1210 WHPT moderates.
*Admission includes a copy of James Madison: A Life Reconsidered. A book signing will follow the program.
