Family Genealogy Day: Discovering Your Heritage

Saturday, May 10, 2014, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

FREE with museum admission To purchase tickets: 215-409-6700 or constitutioncenter.org

In connection with the National Constitution Center’s feature exhibition Slavery at Jefferson’s Monticello, the museum hosts local genealogy and ancestry groups for a special public program on Saturday, May 10. During an Introduction to Genealogy workshop, visitors will be given the necessary tools needed in order to delve deeper into their own family histories—perhaps even discovering a connection with a famous figure from history like Thomas Jefferson! Dianne Swann-Wright, former Senior Research Historian in African-American History at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, also will participate in the day’s events.
