Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Edward Larson highlights a crucially important, yet often overlooked chapter of George Washington’s illustrious career, revealing how Washington saved the United States by coming out of retirement to lead the Constitutional Convention and serve as America’s first president. A signing of The Return of George Washington: 1783-1789 with Edward Larson will follow the program.
