The museum will open the Capture the Moment exhibition with a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013, attended by exhibition curator Cyma Rubin; National Constitution Center Vice President of Exhibitions Stephanie Reyer; and Tom Kelly, the 1979 Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist whose photo titled “Tragedy on Sanatoga Road” for The Pottstown Mercury is featured in the exhibition.
During educational programs throughout the weekend, visitors can learn about the history of the prestigious Pulitzer Prize. Members of the museum’s education staff will lead special tours of the exhibition as well as facilitate discussions to help visitors reflect on their reactions to the images.
